This page contains some specific things we think everyone at the school should know about Google Drive.

The easiest way to find a file or folder you are looking for is to use the search bar at the top of Google Drive.
If you find the file and want to put it somewhere for easy access later, you can either:
Right click on the file, go to organise, and click 'add shortcut' to put a shortcut in your own drive (in a folder of your choosing), or
Open the file and then bookmark it like you would a website.
Files created in 'My Drive' are owned by you, and so you have control over who else has access to them. How you choose to organise files in 'My Drive' only affects you.Â
Shared drives are accessible by multiple people, called members, who have various levels of access. Files created or moved into a 'Shared drive' aren't owned by anyone in particular, and only members with suitable privileges can share the files more broadly. Organising a shared drive affects how every member sees the drive.
